Google Analytics for NEXT
What Google Analytics does with NEXT
The full storefront funnel
view_item_list, view_item, add_to_cart, remove_from_cart, begin_checkout, add_shipping_info, and purchase map from NEXT's storefront events.
Item reports that line up
Consistent item IDs, SKUs, and variants across every event keep GA4 item reports aligned, with shipping and tax sent as their own parameters.
Google Ads conversions
Turn on Google Ads Conversion Tracking in the Google Analytics 4 app to send a conversion with the order total on each purchase.
Campaign funnels too
Campaigns built from the Campaign Page Kit starter templates can load GA4 directly by adding a measurement ID to the campaign's settings.
Setting up Google Analytics
- Create a GA4 property with a web data stream and copy its Measurement ID, which starts with G-.
- Install the Google Analytics 4 app from your NEXT dashboard, turn on Enable Google Analytics, and enter the Measurement ID.
- Turn on Skip Test Orders, then use Debug Mode to check events in GA4 DebugView before you rely on the reports.
